Did you know that there are more than 40 benzodiazepine drugs available to treat anxiety and panic disorders? Since they all have different brand names, it can get a little confusing if you’re trying to find out the right one. The good news is that most doctors will write you a prescription for a benzodiazepine drug if you explain your symptoms and tell them about any issues you’ve had with other medications in the past. If your doctor isn’t willing to prescribe one, ask for a referral to another doctor who might be able to help.

What’s Xanax and How Does it Work?

Xanax is the most well known drug in the benzodiazepine class of drugs. It is used for the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, and it is also used as an anti-convulsant, especially in treating epilepsy. It generally works by enhancing the effect of GABA receptors. GABA is the neurotransmitter that is most associated with feelings of relaxation, so by enhancing the effect of GABA receptors, you should increase feelings of calm and relaxation. You should also expect Xanax to be mildly sedating, so it can also be useful for insomnia.

How to Get Xanax Prescription

There are a number of situations in which you might be able to get a doctor to prescribe benzodiazepines. If you are currently going through a period of stress, moving, changing jobs, or dealing with other significant life changes, it may be a good idea to talk to your doctor about getting a short-term prescription for benzodiazepines. Your doctor may want to give you a couple of weeks’ worth of pills, especially if you have previously taken benzodiazepines and have built up a tolerance. A benzodiazepine prescription could also be appropriate if you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, or if you are undergoing cognitive behavioral therapy and your doctor thinks you might have particularly strong anxiety symptoms that day. If you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, you might ask your doctor to prescribe you a benzodiazepine medication and be upfront about the fact that you plan to taper off of it after taking it for a few weeks or months. You might also be able to get a short-term prescription if you have insomnia that isn’t due to a diagnosed medical condition.

Where to Buy Xanax Online ?

You can buy Xanax online from sites like Amazon, eBay, and Craigslist. The problem is that you don’t know if you’re getting the real deal. When you buy Xanax online, you run the risk of getting a dangerous substance that might not even contain Xanax. The FDA has received reports of counterfeit Xanax pills, so you might not even be getting the proper amount of active ingredients in each pill. Counterfeit drugs are a serious health risk – in some cases, they might even be lethal. If you are determined to buy Xanax online, keep the following tips in mind: Look for reputable online pharmacies that are verified by independent organizations. Buy Xanax online from a pharmacy that requires a valid prescription, not one that says “no RX required.” Make sure each pill has the right markings on it. You should check for the right color, the right imprint, and the right number of pills in each bottle.

When Can You Take Xanax?

Xanax can be taken either on a regular basis or as needed, depending on your doctor’s instructions. For most people, it’s recommended that you take it several times a week or less. You shouldn’t take it more often than that, since the frequent use of benzodiazepines can lead to dependence, tolerance, and withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly stop taking it. You shouldn’t take Xanax if you are taking other sedating or hypnotic drugs or if you have a medical condition that impacts your central nervous system. Some people shouldn’t take Xanax at all, such as people with a history of substance abuse.

Side Effects of Xanax

In addition to the potential for dependency and tolerance, there are a lot of side effects associated with long-term use of Xanax, including: Trouble sleeping. (Xanax works best for daytime anxiety, not nighttime anxiety.) Xanax can make you drowsy. You might also experience cognitive difficulty and a reduced ability to concentrate. Xanax can also make you less sociable and more isolated from your friends, family, and other loved ones.

Conclusion

Xanax is one of the most well-known benzodiazepines on the market. However, it is not the only option for someone seeking help for their anxiety or panic disorders. There are many drugs in this category that might be a better fit for your situation, or you might be better off with another type of treatment altogether. It’s important to be upfront with your doctor about the reasons you’re interested in benzodiazepines, and to be sure you understand the risks and benefits of taking this drug.

No lawsuits..too damn busy hurting and having surgeries. Was 34 and became permanently disabled. Then i developed Ptsd, cognitive problems, depression, major anxiety, followed by Extreme Claustrophobia (cannot even watch a movie that has scenes of underwater activity, or cave crawling. This will set off panic attack so bad that I cannot breathe properly and have fainted or felt like I was having heart attack. I literally have been on every Opioid, Benzo, antidepressant, muscle relaxant drug over a period of 16+years. HERE’S WHAT PROPAGANDIST, DEA,CDC,FDA,MEDICARE AND MOST OF ALL !!!

Please stop asking where to find a doctor who will give you meds. I’m literally in a position where my doctor must be scared shitless to say ” At this point (He feels that after all these years the meds are, injections, etc. are not working anymore. So I can have a morphine pump implanted OR he only will prescribe me 5mg of oxycodone every 8 hours for 3 months then will want me to wean off, vacating the med than reinstating the oxycodone again for a repetitive cycle til i die i guess or theres a miracle? Nightmare huh?? It’s not fair that i was once confident, smart, happy, successful and my body and the healthcare industry has failed me / stole my identity ( Im a shadow of my self ) . ” First do no harm”is part of the doctors oathe/creed? That is because so many people ABUSE these drugs ! My husband is a closet alcoholic. Of course he doesn’t tell the ARNP at our primary care provider’s office this…….however, she should have noticed it was odd that his wife (me) is a nurse and not on his emergency call or HIPPA where we can discuss his care. She has been prescibing numerous drugs for ADHD, depression ect to him !! He is out of control to the point that he scares our teenage son. After doing a little digging, I find out the bitch has been prescibing him BENZOs that he is eating like candy !!! She is a fricking nurse and does not have the knowlege or training to be writing for this stuff !!! This has done great harm to our family life, our finances and now he is having to go into rehab.
Yes, I blame the addict, but I also blame the healthcare provider……….I have a very good case for a lawsuit.

At one extreme, I had a thought of committing suicide due to my mindfulness and stressful days. Even at the night time, I didn’t have enough sleep at all with the full of depression. By seeing my situation, my wife asked a suggestion from our family doctor and he told me to try xanax pills for three months. Within a few weeks, I have encountered amazing changes in my mind issues.

Really, I should thank my friend to suggest me the xanax pill which will greatly contain the alprazolam content to reduce the depressive and anxiety related factors. I regularly have a drinking habit of consuming one or two large wine before going to sleep. When my doctor suggested me to avoid alcohol while using the xanax, I stopped drinking wine at night and have amazing benefits with the reduction in my overall mind stress.

As per the prescription of my physician, I have bought one full bottle of xanax with the 60 pills before two months. Xanax is the pill/drug of abuse so I’m really very careful in using it by following the instructions given by my health care provider. At present, I’m really very happy with the fast and effective anxiety control results given by this amazing medicine in the prescribed dosage level.

One of my friends told me to don’t stop using the xanax pills suddenly, otherwise I got the negative side effects. I followed his words along with the instructions given by my doctor. My physician told me to use it at least for 2 months and slowly reduce it one after another after getting the effective results. Now, I’m happy with the long term stress relief benefits with no harmful side effects.

I’m actually not trying to use the drugs or pills without the direct prescription from the doctors. One of my colleagues told me to use the Xanax drug for reducing my symptoms of the panic attacks. But I also got the final consultation with the doctor and he prescribed this Xanax pill to me. Now I’m hopefully and happily use this drug to increase my body energy by reducing the stressful factors.

My health care provider finally suggested me to use the Xanax pill for the regular use. At the same time, he told me about the importance of the perfect dosage level. I don’t use alprazolam xanax pill more than the prescribed dosage. According to my health and mental condition, he prescribed me to use it for about 3 months in order to get the effective results to stop anxiety symptoms.

I am starting to realize that most doctors first priority is to protect themselves from responsibility and litigation so they don’t lose money. Patient health and happiness is far from the priority.

I was on 3mgs daily for 9 years with the same doctor…..not a shrink. He retired so I had to find a new doctor and he MESSED WITH MY MEDS THAT TOOK MY DR 6 YRS TO GET LEVELED OUT!!!! I politely let this doctor know and he NOT ONLY CUT MY xanaxs to 20 A MONTH!!!! THEN TOOK ME OFF THE LAMICTAL FOR MY BIPOLAR AND MOOD SWINGS AND PUT ME ON LITHIUM….I HAVE TREMORS FROM IT HE KNOWS AND AS SEEN ME THAT WAY…. THEN HE SAY ” I’M GOING TO PRESCRIBE YOU ADDERALL ONCE EVERY MORNING TO GET YOU OUT OF YOUR EXTREMELY LOW DEPRESSION AND SLUMP. HOWEVER THIS MEDICATION MIGHT MAKE YOUR ANXIETY WORSE WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE”… WENT BACK TOLD HIM THAT IT DID AND ASKED HIM TO INCREASE ME TO AT LEAST ONE A DAY HE KNOWS I HAVE PTSD AS WELL…… HE SAID ” I WILL NOT INCREASE YOU TO ONE A DAY YOU WERE ON THEM FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND THEY HAVE AN ABUSE RATE.” MY EXACT RESPONSE WAS WELL YOU HAVE MY FORMER DOCTORS CONTACT INFO AND IN THE 9 YEARS I WAS ON THEM I NEVER ASKED HIM FOR AN INCREASE HE STARTED ME ON 2MGS DAILY……5 MAYBE 6 YEARS LATER HE SAID HE FELT I NEEDED 3 MGS A DAY SO OBVIOUSLY WITH ALL DUE RESPECT DR.
